Drum roll please...
Now, coming to the stage...Charles Aaron!

I don't know why I just introduced him as if he were a 200lb wrestler but that's what I believe this introduction needed - drama!

Now, Charles Aaron has been only physically been on this earth for 5 months (and man, did I forget what it was to have a 5 month old!) but his personality (when he exudes it) is large!

Ladies and Gentlemen...Charles Aaron!

Yesterday, I was given yet another opportunity to photograph the 5thL. Who is the 5thL, you ask? Check out their site to find out: www.5thl.com.

The 5thL is very important to me because they were the first website (outside of my own diluted creations) that I'd ever created. I was allowed to go out on a limb and exorcise my HTML and EARLY photography demons on them...and have been repeatedly granted the opportunity to do so since.

Not only have I grown as a photographer but also as a designer and have been blessed to have them trust me again and again with my artistic talents. I am honestly grateful to them, wholeheartedly.

I owe so much to this once quintuplet, now duo. Thank you again for your support and unfailing trust.

Ladies and gentlemen...the 5thL!

I am lucky to have made the friends that I have over the years!

A good (great) friend, Raven Ekundayo, is the editor/CEO of eXcapethematriX.com asked me to shoot the cover for the Fashion Issue. (You may remember him from a previous post) Though my image wasn't used for the cover (congrats to Marsalis Image on that one!)

I am amazed at how the shoot turned out! The models were excellent and focused - which is something I'm not used. I just wanted to thank everyone involved in the process - it was awesome!

This little man, Sir Isaac, is such a sweetheart that I had to get my hands on him!

Though, our initial encounter was a little skeptical - he would not give a smile for the camera but as soon as I put them down it was showtime! We got acquainted and he finally let it all out - well, not all of it but enough that I got a good guage of what Sir Isaac is made of...

(No, his name isn't "Sir" Isaac, but it just seemed...fitting.)

Now some of you may or may not remember Ms. Marty from the old blog, but she's back again with a vengeance!

No, not really but she's all geared up to become a Baltimore Raven's cheerleader!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Marty!

(Yes, I am quite aware that I am lame - don't hold it against me!)

I've known Bobby for a couple of years now, meeting for the sake of a custom designed blog, UnderGroove Mag dot com, constructed and maintained by yours truly.

I didn't realize all that we've been through and that our relationship has helped us both, financially and personally.

These images were taken for the next task at hand, HueVoices dot com, which will also be created from my hand (there's a Neverending Story reference there, but I don't know how many would get it). I've added a little spin on the images, but something about the hat made me think OLDSKOOL!

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH, bellies!

I love shooting mommy-to-be sessions because I remember what it was like when I was pregnant. I felt beautiful, invigorated and I honestly did glow (and not in the "in-the-dark" kinda way). I felt great and I wanted to document that feeling so I understand how the mother's feel when they step in front of the camera. I strive my hardest to capture that intimacy and the love felt for the unborn child.

I was honored when I was asked to photograph an old friend (well, she's not that old) during her pregnancy. She brought along a friend, Monica and what developed was absolutely beautiful.

I love my job!

'Why' do you ask?

Because I get to meet some of the most honest, heart-warming people there are out there. I am invited into their homes where I am most always treated like family and I love it! Not for freeloading or anything like that but because then you get to see the heart of the family without airs or stiffness and it's wonderful!

That being said, I photographed the most awesome Greene family: Pamela, Chance, Sidney and Naila (I hope I spelled that correctly!).

They were great - lovable sense of humor and fun, fun, fun!

This year has already started off with fury! I'm amazed at the response I've gotten so far this year and it's only the 2nd of January!

This year is determined to be a better year. I can feel it in my bones.

Well, this weekend was a beast! I decided to coordinate a photo marathon - and what I didn't expect was how awesome everything would turn out! The ladies that come to my rescue did such an awesome job that I don't have any words to describe my appreciation. Each and every one of you (in order of appearance) - Sandra, Shante, Natalie, Judy, Tiara and Angie - went beyond my expectation and I'm grateful at the experience to work with such remarkable ladies as yourselves. (The champagne didn't help either! LOL!)

I'm processing their images right now but I didn't want to you to think that I'd disappeared off of the face of the earth. I'm still here and on my way to making greatness...well, maybe...

During the last weekend of 2007, I decided to bite the bullet and enlist as many females as I could for a boudoir photo marathon, inclusive of make-up and hair: FOR FREE!

Now, I know this sounds a little nutty but I had the right idea. I wanted to capture various personalities, body sizes and ethnicities and the response was amazing! I had never met any of these women before but bonded with them so well that I am looking for future projects where we can have the opportunity to work together again.

Starting the lineup, is Ms. Sandra.

Today, I met up with Watson, who so lovingly calls me "underpants".

Watson - a.k.a. Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman - is a a wonderful little boy with incredible energy and imagination. He was absolutely a joy to work with and I hope I've made his mother proud.

Thank you, Watson.
(My son hasn't stopped talking about the "other" Superman and he wasn't even at the session!)

I had an absolute blast with Lamont and Marshall this passed Sunday! I swear that I laughed the entire time my camera was in my hand.

At first, Lamont was determined to not have a good time (i.e., smile). Marshall on th other hand was up for anything.

Now, I don't know exactly who is going to look at this but if you're ever sat with me, the number one rule is HAVE FUN! That's all I ask because it shows when you're NOT having a good time.

Each frame from this session is filled with a smile (except two, I think, where I asked them to be serious. It didn't last long though - we cut up right after the first "serious" frame.)

Thank you, Marshall and Lamont. I had a ball and tell Truth (the munchkin) I said hello!

* I was playing around in Photoshop to produce this effect. I'm not sure if I like it yet.

Denise and I met at her house on Saturday with the intent on snapping a few for her friend in Iraq and getting some images of the cutest Yorkshire Terriers I have ever seen in my life!

Now most people that have met me will hear about my mammoth of a dog, Lucky, who at 1.5 years old, is able to place his paws on my shoulders! He is, of course, the Black Lab that I've always wanted but Denise's teacup terrier, Reagan (the misses), made me question if I really wanted a "man" dog.

Reign (the mister) was awesome, too - until it was time to shoot! He diverted his eyes away from the camera as much as possible until he was told that he could derobe.

Can you guess which is which?
[ hint: Denise is the human. ]

I had so much fun with Marcia today. We laughed a little, talked a little and I really feel like I was allowed to capture her honest spirit.

I met Marcia through a childhood friend (remember Miesha?) and luckily, Marcia liked Miesha's shoot so much that she booked me! I hope I've made you proud, Marcia!

I love to see people happy!

It's not often that you get to capture expected real moments! My aunt, uncle and cousins met me at Montebello Lake and snapped a few shots for the cam. The pictures are for an unofficial "official" family portrait.

I couldn't give them the Sears Portrait treatment - sorry Sears, but that's not my style.

We had fun in the great outdoors - Ebony even climbed a tree - her natural habitat (just joking Ebony!). It's amazing to see my aunt and uncle together after umpteen years - and they look just as happy as ever...
